Our Heritage
Established in 1888, the peaceful park like setting of Ebenezer’s Mount Hope Cemetery retains an air of quaint dignity, so common in the days when it was first put into service by German settlers in the area. Many of the original founders of West Seneca are interred here.
Patriotic monuments can be found throughout the tranquility of Mount Hope, honoring veterans from the Civil War, Spanish American War, both World Wars, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Non denominational Mount Hope is the peaceful final resting place for people of all faiths, where loved ones can return to reflect on the cherished memories of a lifetime.
Mount Hope features monuments dating back to the late 1800’s, in addition to modern, lawn level and upright markers. It remain an active cemetery, facilitating burials throughout the year, and is overseen by a dedicated “All volunteer” Board of Directors.
